Gaining Internal Buy-in for eLearning! Ensuring Leadership and Operational Support
Thursday | September 28, 2023 |
12:00 PM – 12:45 PM
eLearning is in heightened demand by business leaders, but the investment can be quite significant. eLearning initiatives are considered investments since they require tangible financial requirements including technology and supporting infrastructure viewed as “capital expenditures.”
To gain leadership support you will learn to provide leaders with a financial evaluation and a return for the eLearning effort. In this session, Ajay Pangarkar, author and performance strategist, will help you recognize how leaders differentiate between a capital expenditure and a training expense and why they consider training a “cost” center. Discover the actual financial literacy tools leaders apply when proving financial validity to support your eLearning projects and to gain business leadership buy-in.
Participants in this session will identify how to get their eLearning initiative to gain management support. You’ll then build support for eLearning while building a solid financial business case for the initiative. This session should appeal to all training professionals, including external professionals working within an organization, but it’s especially geared for beginner and intermediate learning practitioners.
During this session, you will learn how to:
- Define business expectations for eLearning.
- Apply financial tools to build an effective case for eLearning.
- Communicate expectations into business results.
- Relate Kirkpatrick to business results.
